Applicatons

• Hydrolyzes pyrophosphate, a common product of biosynthetic reacions (1)
• Maintains the forward direction of reactions generating pyrophosphate
• Improves PCR amplification of problematic of long templates
• Used as an enzyme label of ELISA (2)

Unit Definition

One unit will liberate 1.0 nmol of inorganic orthophosphate per minute at 65°C (pH 7.5)

Quality Control

All preparations are assayed for contaminating endonuclease, exonuclease and nonspecific RNase and single- and double-stranded DNase activites.
